Background and Experience

Jeremiah's passion for football ignited during his collegiate years at the University of Washington, where he excelled as a defensive lineman and contributed to the Huskies' Rose Bowl victory. In 2001, he was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round of the NFL Draft with the 134th overall pick. Although he did not sign with the Browns, Jeremiah continued his football career by playing two seasons for the New York Dragons of the Arena Football League (AFL) from 2006 to 2007.

Turning Adversity into Strength

Jeremiah's path has not been without challenges. In 2003, while attending college, Jeremiah was a young father navigating the complexities of the NCAA amateur status policy. Balancing his responsibilities as a parent and an athlete was particularly challenging. In 2004, he faced legal issues that resulted in his release from the Cleveland Browns' draft rights. Instead of allowing these setbacks to define him, Jeremiah confronted his past head-on, using these experiences as catalysts for personal growth and professional reinvention. This pivotal moment inspired him to co-found Hammers Elite Athletics, where he channels his experiences into mentoring young athletes not just in sports, but in life.

At Hammers Elite Athletics, Jeremiah specializes in position-specific coaching for defensive linemen, leveraging his extensive knowledge to develop tailored training programs that address the unique demands of the position. His expertise extends to strength and conditioning, where he designs comprehensive fitness regimens that enhance athletes' physical capabilities and resilience.
